Monkey Basil Plant

I got this basil plant kit from a cousin as a gift. The instructions that came with the kit was simple and easy to follow. Once the hydrated soil and planted seeds are in the monkey's knapsack, all you do is fill the cup with water. The tail absorbs and transfers the water to the soil. 

It died about 5 weeks after this picture was taken. I think I didn't keep the water level high enough consistently for the plant to survive the summer California heat. Oh well. I still have the monkey so I can plant other seeds at some point.
