Fisherman's Rib Stitch beanie
This beanie was completely made with the fisherman rib stitch. It's a super stretchy and squishy rib stitch. I learned this ribbing through YouTube. If you want to learn all you have to do is go on YouTube and search "Fisherman's Rib Stitch". Easy-peasy.
Now on to the vague instructions!
Materials used:
Worsted weight yarn
3.25mm needles
Instructions:
- cast on 72 stitches
- fisherman's rib stitch for 5.5 inches then start decreasing
- Next time I will knit at least 6 inches the 5.5 was too short in my opinion.
- DECREASING
- divide 72 by 6
- use markers to divide into sections
- this is only to making decreasing easy
- Row 1: k2tog every 6 stitches
- Every even row: knit fisherman's rib
- Row 3: k2tog every 5 stitches
- Row 5: k2tog every 4 stitches
- Continue until there are 12 stitches left
- Cut yarn, close up the hole, weave in end.
