Tweeded Mock Ribbing Beanie


NEEDLES
  • Five 5.0mm double pointed needles
YARN
  • Deborah Norville Collection
  • Alpaca Dance (75% acrylic, 25% Alpaca)
  • Medium weight 4
  • Color: Cornflower
INSTRUCTIONS
  • Pattern
    • Round 1: *Wyib sl 1 pwise, k1, yo, psso; repeat from* to end of round
    • Round 2: Knit
  • Body
    • Cast on 92, join to start a round
    • Knit round 1
    • work on tweeded mock ribbing pattern for 6 inches
    • Make sure you end with round one of the pattern
  • Decrease
    • shift the stitches around so that there is 23 stitches on each needle
    • Round 1: *k21, k2tog* repeat from * 4 times
      • or k2tog on the last two stitches on each needle if you divided the stitches so that there are 23 stitches. 
    • Round 2: *Wyib sl 1 pwise, k1, yo, psso; repeat from* to end of round (if there is any extra stitches just knit
    • Round 3: *k20, k2tog* repeat from * 4 times.
    • Repeat above until there are about 15
      • I don't remember how many there were when I cut the yarn and weaved the end in
I made a pom pom with the same yarn to finish off the beanie. Yay!
